Tui Na also works with the patient's energetics (called Qi) at a deeper level to help release stagnation and to harmonize imbalances. As in Acupuncture, Tui Na specializes in preventing illnesses and imbalances, not just correcting them. Tui Na dates back to 1700 BC.
    • Medical Qigong

Qigong is an ancient practice of Asian energy work. It involves the cultivation of one’s vital force, or “Qi.” One’s energetics can be cultivated (built up) and then distributed throughout the body as a form of healing and re-balancing. Any disruption of one’s Qi, can be measured in excess or deficiency of their electromagnetic energy at, or near the area of the disruption or blockage. This imbalance can be the result of a poor diet, living a sedentary lifestyle, trauma/injury, surgery, emotional imbalances, and aging.

The practice of Qigong exercises can correct these bio-energetic or bio electro-magnetic imbalances throughout the body. The body, including the internal organs, nervous system, and the immune system can be strengthened and regulated throughout the course of one’s lifetime with regular and continuous mindful Qigong practice.

Qigong is considered one of the four pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicien (TCM), including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage (Tui Na Bodywork Therapy)
